Copy and Paste Values
The following steps assume you are using the Standard View Ribbon Menu option to copy and paste values between work elements. The copy and paste function includes options to control what is copied over such as user defined field content, resource assignments and values, documents, and workflow roles.
- Select in the Navigation Menu. The main EVMax window displays.
- Select your project from the dropdown in the Ribbon Menu.
- Select the Admin tab.
- Expand the WBS hierarchy as needed.

Select the work element rows you want to copy and click in the Ribbon Menu.
Tips:
For best results, select to copy control account WBS elements or work packages. Selecting a control account WBS element will include the related work packages, resource assignments, value details, and related data. Selecting a work package includes the resource assignments, value details, and related data.
You can select one or more rows using the Shift or Ctrl keys.
- Select the work element row where you want to paste the copied content and click in the Ribbon Menu. A Copy/Paste Options dialog box displays. All options are checked by default.
- Determine what content you want to paste. Uncheck the options for any content you don't want to copy over.
- Click . The content is copied over to the selected WBS element as a new child WBS element that is automatically assigned or as a work package depending on what you selected to copy.

As needed, edit the work package, resource assignments, or value details for the data you copied over. See Edit a Work Package, Add a Resource Assignment or Delete a Resource Assignment, and Edit Time Phased Values.
Tip:
If you don't like the results of the copy and paste process, you can delete the new child WBS element or work package and start over. See Delete a WBS Element or Delete a Work Package.
